Once the Lord of The Rings crew wrapped up their last shot and moved out of New Zealand, they left behind a bourgeoning tourism industry built around the iconic movie locations. Hobbiton was one of the most recognizable sets in the film and the are still 17 (out of original 37) hobbit holes left in their natural state.

26. Ted Leo + The Pharmacists - Shake the Sheets

It was my dear Friend Max who turned me on to Ted Leo. This album played a similar role as #30 Who Will Cut Our Hair When We’re Gone?. Bust most importantly, Tel Leo owes me $20. I went to see him open for Death Cab for Cutie where after being on stage for a whole song, hit himself in the face with his mic and began to bleed. Half way through the next song he quit and walked off stage. IF you ever see him get my money, yea?

i would still consider this night a success as i was lucky enough to witness you, in a dancing fit, remove your shirt and draw all over your bare stomach and chest with a pen…marker? the details are a little foggy. maybe max should compensate you for the lack of performance?
